I am no ordinary contractor. My craftsmanship is my calling. Your dream home isn’t my job; it’s my vocation.
I moved to Maine from the Midwest and joined the hardware, lumber, and flooring teams at Home Depot. I quickly became a supervisor in that iconic company. Other supervisors and managers recognized my talent with construction projects and began hiring me to improve their homes, on weekends, as side projects. My love affair with tools, with tearing down and building back up, inspired me to start my own general contracting company, Doak and Co. Contracting.
Achieving the vision of a dramatically improved home — especially one that’s better than you initially hoped for — is a process requiring patience, open communication, and a trusting partnership with a contractor.
